The Kingdom Conference that will convene 21 - 23 June 2022 (Tues - Thur). Day sessions will occur from 8:00 am - 2:30 pm. Please find the following 10 very specific things we each need to be aware of as well or take action on well ahead of the KICCM conference:
The primary rehearsal for Bishop Copeland's Consecration service will be on Tuesday, 21 June from 2:20 pm - 5:00 pm. Anyone not in attendance at the rehearsal on Tuesday will not be allowed to process in on Wednesday.
The actual Consecration will occur on Wednesday evening beginning at 5:00 pm. There will be no other activities occurring. Therefore, all Presbytery is expected to participate. All need to be lined up for the procession no later than 4:14 pm for inspection and instruction. No one will be allowed to join after 4:15 pm. Deacons will need to know the year they were Ordained/Certified because the lineup will occur according to that date.
The Ordination for Overseers and Elders will occur on Thursday, 23 June at 5:00 pm. Tentatively, there are 11 Elders and 4 Overseers who will be ordained.
As Bishop's colors will change, his seal, the Bishop's crest and the Elder's Tippets will change. New tablecloths will need to be ordered. It needs to be determined whether the usual vendor is still available or do we need to find a new vendor. Acquiring new table cloths is a responsibility of our Diaconate Ceremonial Team. Please provide a status on ordering new tablecloths made WITH THE NEW BISHOP'S CREST to Elder Anderson and Deacon Bonner.
Get a decision from Elder Anderson on whether or not new tablecloths are also required for the Thursday night Overseers/Elders Ordination?
We need to look at how the Sanctuary will be arranged for the Consecration. Space will be an issue. It will need to be rearranged with social distancing and COVID-19 in mind. The bottom level of the Sanctuary will probably be all Presbytery. We need to look at how the tables will be moved in and out while still allowing enough space for the Ceremony.
*It is imperative for Deacons to start preparing for the ceremonies and for us to determine the status each individual Deacon who will actively participate, as the Presbytery will need to be balanced across the Sanctuary.
There will be a walk-through of the Sanctuary possibly on a weekend to determined what we already have and what is needed.
The names of the Ordinands are forthcoming and will be given to Ceremonial team to have name tags made up.
We need enough racks and tables to accommodate the vestments for 11-12 Elders and 4 Overseers. For the vestments on the table, continue to keep COVID-19 in mind.
NOTE: The need to find rooms for vesting is being addressed, due to the space presently in the Choir room being significantly reduced.
